This "beginner acrylic class" is an art course designed for individuals with no prior painting experience, focusing on the fundamental techniques of using acrylic paint, including color mixing, brush handling, composition basics, and applying paint to canvas, allowing students to create their first artwork while learning the essential skills needed to paint with acrylics. 

In this course, you will find that acrylic painting is a simple, flexible and effective way to learn how to paint successfully. Acrylic paints can produce vibrant colors, dry quickly and can be diluted and cleaned with water, making them easy to use. 

Key points about a beginner acrylic class: 

• A quick review of essential concepts like primary and secondary colors, color mixing, and different brush types.   
• Overview of different types of acrylic paints and canvases… when, why and how to use them effectively. 
• Review how to create depth, distance, separate foreground from middle ground and background.
• Practice hands-on painting, experiment and create feel of water in the ocean, how to establish horizon, and test your hand at making clouds.
• Students will work on a straightforward painting project to practice techniques and build confidence.   
• Please note that the image posted is a sample.  We will be working on a much simpler version.

Canvas, brushes and paint will be supplied for use in class. Students will keep the canvas with their beautiful paintings.
